Lazaro Jerome C. Guevarra is the Chairman of BDO Insurance & Reinsurance Brokers, Inc. He was elected to the Board of Directors on September 1, 2023. He serves as Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff for the Office of the President of BDO Unibank, Inc. and concurrently as Head of the Governance Group, administratively overseeing the Legal Services & Corporate Secretary, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Information & Cyber Security Office of the Bank. He also holds the following positions in the BDO Group: Chairman of BDO Remit (Japan), Ltd., BDO Remit (USA), Inc., and BDO Remit (Canada) Ltd.; Director of Dominion Holdings, Inc., BDO Strategic Holdings, Inc., BDORO Europe Ltd., Averon Holdings Corporation, and Nashville Holdings, Inc., Trustee of BDO Foundation, Inc., and Advisor to the Board of BDO Securities Corporation. He was previously the Head of Advisory and Mergers & Acquisitions Team of BDO Capital & Investment Corporation and President of BDO Securities Corporation. Mr. Guevarra is a graduate of the University of the Philippines School of Economics, and has had more than 33 years of experience in banking, and mergers and acquisitions.

Rolando C. Tanchanco was elected to the Board of Directors of BDO Insurance Brokers, Inc. on May 31, 2013. Concurrently, he serves as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Consumer Banking Group of BDO Unibank, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of the Philippines. He acquired his MBM at the Asian Institute of Management. Mr. Tanchanco joined BDO to head Consumer Banking Group. Prior to his joining BDO, he was President of Philam Savings Bank and Head of AIG Credit Card. He is currently a Director of BDO Network Bank, Inc., and Trans Union Phils. He was formerly a Director of BDO Elite Savings Bank, Inc. and MMPC Auto Financial Services Corporation.

Maria Corazon A. Mallilin was elected to the Board of Directors of BDO Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Inc., on May 8, 2025. Concurrently, she is an Executive Vice President of BDO Unibank, Inc., and the Head of Branch Banking Group. She has been with BDO Unibank for twenty (20) years. She joined BDO in March 2005 as Region Head under Branch Banking.

Cora started her banking career as Management Trainee at PCIBank in 1982, and was Head of Cash Management, Assistant Vice President when she left in 1998. She then joined Asiatrust Bank (1998-2002) and Maybank, Phils. (2002-2005), holding the post of Branch Banking Head, Senior Vice President.

Cora holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines, Diliman QC, passing the bar in 1988. Currently, Atty. Mallillin is also Board Trustee for BDO Foundation and Board Advisor for BDO Life.

Outside of the bank, she is Board Trustee of the International Graduate School of Leadership (IGSL) and Far East Broadcasting Corporation (FEBC) Phils.

Herminia S. Jacinto was elected to the Board of Directors of BDO Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers, Inc., on April 26, 2024. She is also the Independent Director of Fortune General Insurance Corporation, Fortune Life Assurance Co, Inc., and IPeople, Inc. and BDO Life Assurance Co. Inc. (until 2024). Currently she is the Chairperson of the Insurance Institute for Asia and the Pacific IIAP), the institute that offers training courses on insurance, insurance management and related subjects, for both life and property and casualty lines.  She has served the Institute in various capacities, either as Treasurer, President and Chairperson.

Ms. Jacinto is a Certified Public Accountant and was Financial Controller of the FGU Insurance Corporation and the Universal Reinsurance Corporation, both companies of the Ayala Group. She became the President and CEO of the Universal Reinsurance Corporation until the company was merged with the Malayan Reinsurance Corporation in 2005.  She retired from active corporate work in 2006 when the Universal Malayan Reinsurance Corporation merged with the National Reinsurance Corporation of the Philippines.

She has served the insurance industry in various capacities – Chairman of the Philippine Insurance and Reinsurance Association (PIRA), President of the Insurance & Surety Association of the Philippines (ISAP), President of the Philippine Insurers’ Club (PIC). She is a regular lecturer at the Institute on topics like Financial Analysis, Reinsurance and Mergers and Acquisitions.
