Which mobile number should I use for my BDO Pay account?

Please use the mobile number registered to your BDO Digital Banking account.

If you want to change your number, log in to your BDO Digital Banking account, go to Profile Settings, and then Customer Information.

What if I want to use BDO Pay on more than one device and they all have different mobile numbers?

Choose which device you want to use to sign up for BDO Pay, and enter the mobile number registered to your BDO Digital Banking account. When you’re done signing up, you can add the others as trusted mobile devices.

It’s okay if they all have different numbers. What’s important is you are able to enter the One-Time PIN (OTP) that will be sent to the number registered to your Digital Banking account.

To add a trusted device, just download the app on the other devices you want to use, then log in. A text message from BDO-ALERT will be sent to the registered number, asking you to reply ADD DEVICE. Once you confirm, you’ll receive an OTP.

You can add up to five (5) trusted devices.

What happens if I use a different number from what is connected to my BDO Digital Banking account?

Here’s what you can expect if you use a different number to sign up:

1. After you log in to BDO Pay using your BDO Digital Banking account Username and Password, a One-Time PIN (OTP) will be sent to the number registered to your Digital Banking account.

2. Once you enter the OTP, you will get a notification in the BDO Pay app to use the number linked to your Digital Banking account.

3. Tap Proceed, and BDO Pay will automatically update your number to be the one you used on Digital Banking.

Why can’t I sign up for BDO Pay with my international mobile number?

BDO Pay can currently only link Digital Banking accounts with Philippine mobile numbers. But we’re working on letting you link Digital Banking accounts with international mobile numbers too! Stay tuned!

How do I get my One-Time PIN (OTP) needed to complete my BDO Pay sign-up?

To get your OTP for your BDO Pay sign-up, make sure to follow these steps:

If you activated the OTP Generator on your Digital Banking app, open the app and tap OTP Generator. The Generator will show you an OTP. Simply enter it into your BDO Pay sign-up screen.

You can also get your OTP via text message by tapping OTP via SMS on the OTP screen of your BDO Pay sign-up. If you still haven’t received the text message after a few minutes, just tap Request new OTP.

My sign-up was unsuccessful. What should I do?

Here are the things that could lead to an unsuccessful sign-up, and what you can do to fix it:

1.Your sign-up process might have been interrupted by an unstable internet connection. Check your internet connection and try again.

2.There might have been a typo in your BDO Digital Banking details. Double-check your details  and try again.

3.The mobile device you’re using may have been jailbroken. Please try to sign up for BDO Pay using a different device.

Why won’t BDO Pay accept my Digital Banking Username and Password?

If you’re absolutely sure you haven’t made any mistakes entering your details, double-check that you’ve typed in your Digital Banking Username and Password instead of just copy-pasting them. BDO Pay currently cannot recognize copy-pasted login details, but we’re working to make this possible! We’re also working to make the app compatible with password managers soon.

If typing in your Username and Password still doesn’t work, it could be because your current Digital Banking Password contains any of the following special characters which have been disabled on the app: [!#$%^&';"]. If your current Password contains these characters, you’ll have to reset it first at online.bdo.com.ph to make it compatible with BDO Pay. We’re working on this issue, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience.

My BDO Digital Banking Username and Password worked, but I'm being asked to update my profile. What should I do?

Go to https://online.bdo.com.ph using your mobile or desktop browser and log in with your Digital Banking Username and Password. Update your phone number so it starts with +639, or add an alternate email. Then activate the changes at the nearest BDO ATM, after which you will be able to sign up for BDO Pay.

What if I have a BDO Digital Banking account but can’t seem to link it to BDO Pay?

This means your BDO Digital Banking account either has an expired password or is blocked. You can update an expired password by going to https://online.bdo.com.ph, and tapping on Forgot Password. If you have a blocked account, please call the BDO Contact Center at (02) 8631-8000.

BDO Digital Banking customers can choose which accounts to link during sign-up. If you want to link or unlink afterwards, follow the steps below:

Why can’t I link all my BDO accounts to BDO Pay?

For your security, only accounts that you’ve added to your BDO Digital Banking account can be linked to BDO Pay. If an account does not appear on the list, it means you haven’t added it to Digital Banking yet. Expired Digital Banking accounts are also not linkable to BDO Pay.

Remember that you can link Savings and Checking Accounts, Debit Cards, and Principal Credit Cards to Digital Banking and BDO Pay. Virtual Card, Supplementary Credit Card, and Cash Card cardholders can only sign up for BDO Digital Banking and BDO Pay if they also have at least one of the other types of BDO accounts mentioned above.
