Coverage and Inclusions

Provides coverage, up to the limit stated in the policy schedule, for bodily injury sustained by the Insured Person as a result of a violent, accidental, external, and visible event, provided that such injury, independently and solely of any other cause, results in death, disablement, or dismemberment within one hundred eighty (180) days from the date of the accident.

Provides coverage, up to the limit stated in the policy schedule, for reasonable and customary medical expenses necessarily incurred within fifty-two (52) weeks from the date of the accident, provided such expenses are related to the treatment of injuries sustained in the accident and require the services of a Physician, use of Hospital facilities, or the services of a licensed or graduate nurse while confined in the Hospital, including physiotherapy (physical therapy) and rehabilitation.

  1. Provides reimbursement, up to the limit stated in the policy schedule, for the replacement cost of covered equipment damaged as a result of acts of nature and/or fire.
  2. The replacement cost will be subject to depreciation at a rate of five percent (5%) per year, with a maximum depreciation deduction of fifty percent (50%).
  3. All equipment must be declared and approved for coverage prior to the issuance of the policy. Coverage is subject to the submission of valid proof of ownership and the equipment’s value.

What's not covered:

  • Loss of or damage to the insured property arising from wear and tear, depreciation, gradual deterioration, mildew, moths, vermin, or any inherent defect in the property.
  • Loss of or damage to the insured property arising from or occurring in connection with any process of repairing, restoring, or renovating the property.

Provides reimbursement, up to the limit specified in the policy schedule, for medically necessary and eligible expenses incurred for the treatment of ocular injuries, including corneal abrasions and blunt trauma, sustained by the Insured as a result of an accident while playing any of the covered racket sports.

Provides coverage, up to the limit specifed in the policy schedule, for the Insured’s legal liability to a third party arising during play from:

  1. Accidental death or accidental bodily injury sustained by any person.
  2. Accidental loss of or damage to a third party’s property, subject to the maximum benefit amount, which shall serve as the aggregate limit for all covered losses incurred during the Policy Period.

Coverage may also extend to the following, including in cases where the claim is ultimately determined to be groundless:

  1. Court bail or bond required to guarantee the civil liabilities arising from the proceedings.
  2. Legal and court costs, payable in the same proportion that the amount payable by the insurer under the policy bears to the Insured’s total liability for the loss.

Racket Sports Insurance is insurance designed to help protect you financially if you suffer a covered accidental injury while participating in racket sports, such as tennis, badminton, squash, or similar activities.

The covered racket sports are: Pickleball, Badminton, Tennis, Squash, Table Tennis, Padel

No. The Accidental Death (AD&D) and Permanent Total Disablement/Dismemberment (PTD) benefits provide coverage 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world, subject to the applicable policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and coverage limits.

This means the insured may still be covered even when not participating in a racket sport, provided the accident and resulting loss meet the requirements for coverage under the policy.

Insurer will reimburse the replacement of cost of damaged covered equipment (limited to rackets and paddles only ) resulting from acts of nature and/or fire.

Provided always that the policy shall not cover:

  • Loss or damage arising from wear and tear, depreciation, gradual deterioration, mildew, moth, vermin or any inherent defect in the property thereby insured;
  • Loss or damage arising in connection with any process or repairing, restoring or renovating the property thereby insured.

Conditions applicable to Equipment Damage Coverage:

  1. Equipment must be declared for coverage prior to the issuance of the policy. Subject to submission of proof of ownership and value of the equipment.
  2. Replacement cost will be less depreciation, calculated at five percent (5%) per year, with a maximum deduction of fifty percent (50%).

No. Clothing and apparel, such as shirts, shorts, skirts, and similar items, are not covered. The Equipment Damage benefit is limited to rackets and paddles

Yes. Equipment must be declared for coverage prior to policy issuance. Proof of ownership and value must be submitted whwn filing a claim.

There is no limit on the number of paddles/rackets that can be covered. However, please note that the policy provides a maximum coverage limit of PHP 30,000.

Yes, you may add or declare a new racket/paddle after the policy’s inception, subject to Insurer's approval.

Eye Protection Coverage refers to ocular injuries (corneal abrasion, or blunt trauma) resulting from accidents sustained while playing racket sports.

Any racket players, ages 7 to 65 years old

No. Any loss or expense sustained from participating professionally, or in situations where the insured person earns or could earn income from the sport, is not covered.

No. Pre-existing conditions are not covered.

  • Notice of claim must be made within 30 days of the loss. 
  • Requirements should be submitted within 90 days of the loss. 
  • Benefits will be released within 30 workings days upon complete submission of requirements
