What OFWs Need to Know: Your Questions Answered


1. Can I apply while I'm overseas?
 
Yes. You may apply while abroad by appointing a Loan Administrator to assist with requirements and document submission.
 
2. How do I qualify for a BDO Home Loan?

You must be:
   • At least 21 years old and not older than 70 years old upon loan maturity 
   • A Filipino citizen
   • Earning a gross family income of at least ₱50,000 or its equivalent in foreign currency
   • Employed continuously for at least 2 to 3 years  
 
3. How do I appoint a Loan Administrator?

Complete the Special Power of Attorney (SPA) provided by BDO. After approval, have the SPA authenticated at the Philippine Embassy, Consulate, or country of residence. A trusted family member is preferred as your Loan Administrator.

For any complaint or concern, the client may visit our branch or our BDO Consumer Assistance Management System online at https://www.bdo.com.ph/consumer-assistance. The client agrees and understands that BDO shall take actions within 7 to 10 banking days from receipt of complete information and relevant documents in hard copies or electronic form from the client. For complaints/concerns requiring more time to investigate and resolve, BDO will accordingly advise the client including the progress thereof.
