Possible Reasons for Purchase Convert / Balance Convert Declined Application:

- Applicant is not the Principal Cardholder. Only the qualified Principal Cardholder can apply.
- Account is not active at the time of application.Â
- No sufficient available credit limit. However, if the total add-on interest exceeds the available limit of the credit card, BDO may still process the application provided that the amount of the over limit is within 20% of the card limit for Purchase Convert and 50% for Balance Convert. Over limit allowance is only applicable to Non-BDO Employees.
- Application was not submitted within the promo period or validity date, as applicable.
- For Purchase Convert, application should be within 60 days from the transaction date.
- For Balance Convert, application should be 7 days before the due date of your current statement of account.   Â
- Due to duplicate application. Duplicate application will not be processed.
- The following transactions are not qualified for the Purchase Convert promo:
- Transactions associated with gambling (7995 & 9406) money transfer (4821 & 4829) or other similar cash transactions (6010 & 6011).
- Cash Advance and cash-in to load e-wallets / prepaid cards such as PayMaya, GCash or any similar transactions (6050, 6532 to 6538, 6540)
- Other BDO installment transactions or any amortizing transaction like 0% interest, Regular Installment, etc. (6012)
- Other Merchant Category Codes: 6051, 6211, 7012 and 9754
Incorrect web application form was used to apply. Cardholder should apply using the correct webform as indicated in the Viber/SMS or Email received from BDO Deals.
- Inaccurate input of required details for transactions to be converted under Purchase Convert programs. The following information must be accurate in the form submitted:
8.1 PROMO ID as stated in the Viber/SMS and EDM sent to you
8.2 Merchant Name (Name of establishment where purchase was made)
8.3 Transaction date
8.4 Transaction amount with two (2) decimal places
NOTES
- Qualified Credit Cardholders may refer to their statement of account on the BDO Online/BDO Pay app for the details of their transactions. They may likewise re-apply thru available channels, subject to the terms and conditions of the program.
- Qualified Credit Cardholders availing of Purchase Convert programs can only convert transactions that are already posted in their accounts. Cardholders may verify their transactions from their statement of account on the BDO Online/Pay app.
