How to Join





Promo Mechanics

  1. The Promo is open to all active and current BDO Gold and Diamond UnionPay Principal and Supplementary Credit Cardholders.

  2. Promo Period is from September 18 to 24, 2021.

    1. The Cardholder must enroll to the Promo using the Promo ID sent by BDO through Viber message, SMS or email, until September 24, 2021. Principal and Supplementary Cardholders must enroll separately for their respective cards, and ensure that accurate information is provided.

    2. The Cardholder must use his/her qualified BDO UnionPay Credit Card and spend ANYWHERE (straight, installment, local, overseas, or online/MOTO) for a minimum single-receipt or cumulative spend of P10,000 from September 18 to 24, 2021. For cumulative purchases, the minimum amount required per transaction is P2,000.

  1. Promo Exclusions: The following transactions are NOT qualified for this promo:

    1. Local/International Cash Advances made via ATM or over-the-counter;

    2. Any type of Bills Payment (Auto-charge, Charge-On-Demand, Utility/Recurring Bills, Loan Payments, etc.);   

    3. Utilities (electricity, water, etc.).;

    4. Transactions from casinos or from merchants engaged in gambling;

    5. Transactions from stock trading, forex trading, financial trading services, remittance, and 

    6. BDO Internal Installment Programs such as Balance Transfer, Easy Pay Cash, and the like; Cash-It-Easy;

    7. Quasi-Cash, Cash in to load e-wallet/prepaid cards, Money send/Funding payment (Paymaya, Gcash, etc.) 

    8. Telecommunications Services, Cable and Other Pay Television (Smart, Globe, PLDT, Converge, etc.)

  2. To meet the total spend required, the Principal Cardholder cannot combine his/her purchases with the Supplementary Cardholder, and vice-versa. It is the responsibility of the Cardholder to monitor his/her qualified spend.

  3. For installment purchases, the Principal/base Amount will be included in the computation of the total spend requirement.

  4. For Cardholders enrolled in Dual Currency feature, transactions made in US Dollar and other currencies will be converted to Philippine Peso based on USD1 = P50. The amount will then be added to the total qualified Peso transactions to determine the total spend amount.

  5. The maximum rebate that each Cardholder can earn is P5,000 for every BDO UnionPay Credit Card enrolled to the Promo. The cash rebate will be posted in Philippine Peso regardless if the account is enrolled in the Dual Currency feature.

  6. The transaction/s included in this Promo, cannot be used to redeem in any other ongoing BDO Credit Card Promos (e.g. Shop Anywhere Cash Back Promo, other Rebate/Cash Back promos, etc.) and is subject to the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of BDO Credit Cards.



Crediting of Rebate

  1. The Cardholder's account must be active, and without any past due obligation from the start of the Promo until the scheduled awarding of the rebate. For cards with dual currency, delinquency of one currency affects the other and will no longer be qualified for the Promo.

  2. The rebate earned by the Principal and/or Supplementary Cardholders will be credited on or before October 27, 2021. The rebate/s will appear on the Principal Cardholder's Statement of Account with the transaction description: “2021 UNIONPAY MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL PROMO”.

  3. An SMS notification for the rebate earned will be sent to the mobile number registered in BDO's system. The Principal and Supplementary Cardholder will receive separate SMS notifications.

  4. Cardholders must ensure that their registered mobile number with BDO is updated and accurate. BDO will not be responsible for non-receipt of SMS notification due to incorrect or outdated contact details.



General Terms and Conditions

  1. Cardholders must examine their Statement of Account for any errors related to the Promo (e.g., rebate computation, non-awarding of rebate amount). All questions and issues arising from the Promo will only be accepted, within sixty (60) calendar days from posting of the rebate or until December 27, 2021, after which the Promotion is considered conclusive.

  2. Rebate awarded is non-transferable and nonconvertible to cash. However, it is treated as a credit or payment for purchases of any outstanding balance on the Card.

  3. BDO reserves the right to reverse or adjust the rebate credits previously posted if the qualifying spend is disputed or cancelled on a later date, or if the transaction is found to be invalid or fraudulent, or if there is erroneous posting of the rebate amount, or if the transaction was used to register or redeem from another ongoing BDO Credit Card Promo.

  4. In case of disputes related to this Promotion, BDO's decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder's eligibility for the Promotion or for any redemption shall be resolved by BDO with concurrence of DTI.
