Promo Mechanics

  1. The “EARLY CHRISTMAS WEEKEND SHOPPING” (“Promo”) will run on select weekends of October 2021 (October 22 to 24 and 29 to 31) (“Promo Period”). All transactions must be made within the Promo Period to avail of the Offer.

  2. The Promo is open to all Principal and Supplementary Cardholders of BDO World Elite Mastercard, Platinum, Titanium, Gold, Standard, ShopMore, Bench Mastercard, and Virtual Mastercard Credit Cards (“Qualified Cards”) whose accounts are active and in good standing (i.e. no past due) within the promo period and at the time of posting of the Cash Rebate;

  3. To qualify, Cardholder must:

    1. Enroll to the promo from October 22 to 31, 2021 by submitting the 10-digit Promo ID that was sent through Viber / SMS and / or email. (Submission of wrong Promo ID will not be processed);

    2. Principal and Supplementary Cardholders must register separately using their individual Promo ID

    3. Use Qualified Card and have posted ONLINE and/or IN-STORE spend as follows:

      • Straight and/or Installment purchases (principal amount only)

      • Minimum amount per transaction must be P2,000

      • The cumulative qualified spend must be at least P15,000

  4. Earning of Cash Rebate (“Rebate”):

    1. The maximum Cash Rebate entitlement is P5,000 per Cardholder regardless if he/she has more than one Qualified Card. Rebate will be awarded to the Card with highest spend.

    2. Rebate will be awarded in Peso. Conversion rate will be fixed at P49:US$1, where applicable;

    3. A Principal Card is treated separately from his/her Supplementary Card. In computing for the total qualified Spend Amount, transactions of Principal Card cannot be combined with the transactions of Supplementary Card;

    4. Rebate earned by Supplementary Cardholder will be posted to the Principal Cardholder’s account;

    5. Qualified Cardholders will receive an SMS on or before December 6, 2021 upon successful posting of Rebate earned and will appear on the succeeding Statement of Account (SOA)

  5. Exclusions:

    1. Cash advances made via ATM or over-the-counter and cash in to load e-wallets/prepaid cards such as PayMaya, Gcash, and Money transfers or any similar transactions;

    2. Any type of Bills Payment: Auto-Charge Charge-on-Demand, Utility/ Recurring Bills, Loan Payments, etc.

    3. Purchases from Gasoline/Service Stations, Utilities-Gas, Electric, Water, etc.

    4. Transactions from Casino or from merchants engaged in Gambling

    5. Transactions from trading services / remittances

    6. BDO Internal Installment Programs such as Balance Transfer, EasyPay Cash and Cash-it-Easy

  6. Cardholder understands that by joining the Promo, purchase must not be used to redeem from other BDO promos such as but not limited to Spend Anywhere Cash Back, etc. By choosing to redeem other offers before the Rebate awarding, BDO understands that Cardholder forfeits eligibility to earn the Rebate.

    *Cardholder must ensure that the mobile number registered with the bank is always updated and active. If no SMS is received, please call BDO Customer Contact Center at (02) 8631-8000.

 

 

General Terms and Conditions

  1. Cardholder must examine their SOA for any error/s related to the Promo (e.g. rebate computation, non-awarding of rebate). All questions and issues arising from the promo will be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days from Rebate posting date, after which the promotion is considered conclusive.

  2. Rebate earned is non-transferrable, non-refundable and non-convertible to cash. It is treated as a credit or payment on any outstanding balance on the Cardholder's account.

  3. Double Redemption, Cancellation of qualified purchase and Fraudulent transaction/s.
    The Promo cannot be redeemed in conjunction with other promotional offers of BDO. A Cardholder’s purchase that has been used to avail of the Promo may no longer be used to avail of another BDO Promo such as but not limited to Shop Anywhere Cash Back, Free eGC Spend Anywhere and the like. If found to have double/multiple redemptions, BDO reserves the right to chargeback the full cost of the Rebate to the corresponding account, at BDO’s discretion.

    Similarly, if the transaction is canceled/reversed or found to be invalid or fraudulent at a later date, BDO will chargeback the Rebate awarded to his/her Card or directly collect cost from the Cardholder.

  4. Corporate Cards are not eligible to participate in this promotion.

  5. By participating in the Promo, Cardholder agrees to maintain his/her BDO credit card account updated (without incurring past due/delinquency) within the Promo Period and at the time of posting of the Rebate. Cardholder further acknowledges that should he/she fail to comply with any of the Terms and Conditions and Mechanics of the Promo, he/she will not be eligible to avail of the Rebate.

  6. In case of dispute but not limited to the Cardholder's eligibility, coverage of dates and fulfillment, BDO's decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility for the Promotion or for any redemption shall be resolved by BDO with the concurrence of DTI.

  7. In case of any question about any of the provisions of this Promotion, the interpretation of BDO shall prevail, with the concurrence of DTI.

  8. Terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of BDO Credit Cards, reminders and other provisions contained in the card carrier, statement of account, charge slips, and other documents or instruments, which are made an integral part hereof by reference, shall likewise be resorted to in instances where they are applicable to this Promo.
