Shop overseas or online and get 3% rebate when you spend P150,000 or 5% rebate when you spend P500,000 with your BDO Visa Gold or Platinum Credit Card from  April 1 to May 31, 2019.

 

Promo Mechanics:

  1. The Promotion is open to all active Principal and Supplementary BDO Visa Gold and Platinum Credit Cardholders (except Corporate Cards) who will use their Card for overseas or online transactions from April 1 to May 31, 2019.

  2. To join the promo and earn cash rebates, the Cardholder must:

    1. Enroll online through the promo web page at bit.ly/2019BDOXborderOnline from April 1 to June 1, 2019.
      The following information must be provided:

      • Complete Cardholder’s Name

      • Credit Card Number

      • Mobile Number (must be registered with the Bank)

Cardholders only need to enroll once within the prescribed Enrollment Period. Complete and accurate information must be provided. Otherwise, incomplete, insufficient or wrong information will invalidate the enrollment and will not be processed. Note that the Principal or Supplementary Cardholder must separately enroll their respective accounts, including their Virtual Cards.

  1. Use their BDO Visa Gold or Visa Platinum Credit Card for OVERSEAS or ONLINE transactions during the Promo Period and reach the required spend below. For cumulative spend, each transaction/charge slip must be at least P5,000 or USD100 within the spend period.

  1. The maximum Cash Rebate that can be earned per Card is P25,000 or USD500 for the entire duration of the Promo. The BDO Visa Virtual Card will be sharing the rebate cap with the BDO Credit Card account where it is linked.

  2. Purchases must come from one BDO Visa Credit Card only. Principal Cardholders cannot combine purchases of his/her Supplementary Cardholder/s (if any) in computing for the total Spend Amount. However, transactions made from BDO Visa Virtual Cards are combined with the Cardholder's BDO Credit Card account where it is linked.

  3. Qualified spend will be based on the actual Peso or Dollar value posted on the account/billing statement. For Dual Currency accounts, Peso transactions will receive rebates in PHP and Dollar transactions will receive rebates in USD.

  4. All posted Peso and Dollar overseas or online spend from April 1 to May 31, 2019 are qualified EXCEPT for:

    1. International Cash Advances made via ATM or over-the-counter;

    2. Any type of Bills Payment (Auto-charge, Charge-On-Demand, Utility/Recurring Bills, Loan Payments, etc.)

    3. Purchases from gasoline/ service stations;

    4. Transactions from casinos or from merchants engaged in gambling;

    5. Transactions from stock trading, forex trading, financial trading services, remittance, and the like;

    6. BDO Internal Installment Programs such as Balance Transfer, Easy Pay Cash, and Cash-It-Easy;

    7. All other non-earning points transactions

  5. The Cash Rebate will be credited to the Cardholder's account on or before July 1, 2019 with the transaction description: VISA SHOP OVERSEAS OR ONLINE PROMO.

  6. Cardholders will be notified via SMS upon successful posting of the Cash Rebate to their BDO Visa Gold or Visa Platinum account on or before July 3, 2019.

  7. Cardholder must ensure that the contact details provided (SMS) are accurate. BDO will not be responsible for non-receipt of notification due to incorrect contact details.

  8. The Cardholder should have no past due obligation from the start of the Promo until the scheduled crediting of the rebate.
    Note: For dual currency accounts, both peso and dollar account should have no past due obligation.

  9. Cardholders must examine their Statement of Account (SOA) for any errors related to the Promotion (e.g. rebate computation, non-awarding of rebate). All questions and issues arising from the promo will only be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days from crediting of the rebate, after which the promotion is considered conclusive.

  10. For disputes/concerns regarding transactions made from online merchants (e.g. Amazon.com), the Cardholder may be asked to provide a proof of purchase (e.g. confirmation email from the merchant) as a supporting document and send it to callcenter@bdo.com.ph.

  11. Cash Rebates awarded are nontransferable and nonconvertible to cash. However, it is treated as a credit or payment for purchases of any outstanding balance on the Card.

  12. Rebates earned will be forfeited if the BDO Visa Gold or Visa Platinum Credit Card has been cancelled or converted to another BDO Credit Card or has been found to be delinquent.

  13. BDO reserves the right to reverse the Cash Rebate awarded to the Cardholder in the event that the qualifying transactions were cancelled at a later date or if the transaction is found to be invalid or fraudulent or a reversal of entry is made on any of the qualified transactions or there was an error in the computation and/or posting of the Cash Rebate.

  14. The Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with other ongoing BDO promos (e.g. Shop. Choose. Redeem) and is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of BDO Credit Cards. If found to have multiple availments, BDO shall have the right to reverse the rebate amount credited to the Cardholder’s BDO Visa Gold or Platinum Credit Card, at BDO's discretion.

  15. In case of dispute in respect of but not limited to the Cardholder's eligibility, coverage of dates, and fulfillment. BDO's decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder's eligibility for the promotion shall be resolved by BDO with concurrence of DTI.
