Get a Free medium-sized Samsonite Orfeo Spinner Luggage or a two-piece Samsonite Orfeo Spinner Luggage Set (medium and large) when you use your new BDO Visa Platinum Credit Card and spend at least P300k or P600k within 90 days from card receipt date, or until December 31, 2019, whichever comes first.


Promo Mechanics:

  1. The promotion is open to all NEW BDO Visa Platinum Principal or Supplementary Cardholders whose cards are issued within March 1 to June 30, 2019. (EXTENDED for new cards issued until September 30, 2019)

  2. Only first time BDO Visa Platinum Credit Cardholders (whether as Principal or Supplementary) are eligible to participate in the promo.

  3. Qualified Cardholders must use their BDO Visa Platinum Credit Card within 90 days from card receipt date or until December 31, 2019, whichever comes first, and must reach the required spend (single or accumulated) to get the Free Item based on the table below:

  4. For accumulated purchases, the minimum amount per charge slip must be Php5,000 (for Peso transactions) or US$100 (for Dollar transactions).

  5. Existing BDO Visa Platinum Cardholders whose cards were upgraded, replaced, or renewed and issued within the Promo Period are NOT eligible to avail of the Promo.

  6. Each Cardholder is entitled to a one-time redemption of the Free Item regardless if he/she has more than one qualified Card.

  7. All purchases must come from one (1) BDO Visa Platinum Credit Card only. In computing for the total Spend Amount, the Principal Cardholder is not allowed to combine his/her purchases with the purchases of his/her Supplementary Cardholder/s (if any).

  8. For Cardholders enrolled in the Dual Currency Feature, the spend amount will be computed based on the actual Peso or Dollar value reflected on the billing statement. In cases where Cardholders have transactions in both currencies, the Dollar spend will be converted to Peso using P52:US$1 conversion rate. The resulting amount will then be added to the total qualified Peso transactions to determine the item for redemption.

  9. All local and overseas purchases are qualified EXCEPT for the following:

    1. Local/International Cash Advances made via ATM or over-the-counter;

    2. Any type of Bills Payment (Auto-charge, Charge-On-Demand, Utility/Recurring Bills, Loan Payments, etc.)

    3. Purchases from gasoline/ service stations;

    4. Transactions from casinos or from merchants engaged in gambling;

    5. Transactions from stock trading, forex trading, financial trading services, remittance, and the like

    6. BDO Internal Installment Programs such as Balance Transfer, Easy Pay Cash, and Cash-It-Easy

    7. All other non-earning points transactions

  10. For installment purchases, the principal/base amount will be included in the computation of spend.

  11. The Cardholder will be charged the cost of the Free Item should the Cardholder cancel any of the qualifying purchase/s or transaction/s at a later date. Similarly, if a Cardholder is found to have made an invalid redemption, multiple redemptions, made a fraudulent enrollment, or is found to have redeemed using fraudulent schemes, BDO shall have the right to charge the full cost of the free item redeemed at prevailing retail price to the Cardholder's BDO Visa Platinum Credit Card account or directly collect the cost from the erring Cardholder.

  12. The Free Item is not convertible to cash, nontransferable, nonrefundable, and not replaceable when lost.

  13. The BDO Visa Platinum Card Activation Promo cannot be used in conjunction with other ongoing promos and is subject to the Terms & Conditions governing the issuance and use of the BDO Credit Cards.

  14. A Cardholder’s transaction that was enrolled to redeem the Free Item may no longer be used to avail of another BDO promo (e.g. Shop. Choose. Redeem.) or vice versa. If found to have multiple availments, BDO shall have the right to charge the cost of the free item to the Cardholder’s BDO Visa Platinum Credit Card, at BDO's discretion.

  15. All questions and issues of the Cardholder arising from the promo will only be accepted within sixty  (60) calendar days after the end of the redemption period, after which the promotion is considered conclusive.

  16. In case of dispute but not limited to the Cardholder’s eligibility, coverage of dates, fulfillment, etc. BDO’s decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility for the Promotion or for any redemption shall be resolved by BDO with concurrence of DTI.



  1. Upon reaching the minimum required spend, the Cardholder must completely fill out the Enrollment Form with the details indicated below:

    • Cardholder's Name

    • Cardholder's Complete Credit Card Number

    • Mobile Number (must be registered with the Bank)

    • Transaction Details (Date, Merchant Name, Transaction Amount)

    • Free Item to be Redeemed

    • Preferred Redemption Outlet

The Enrollment Form is available online and can be accessed via

  1. The Cardholder must fill out the Enrollment Form and redeem the Free Item based on the schedule below:

    July to September 2019 July 1, 2019 to February 29, 2020


  2. Only the transactions that are indicated on the Enrollment Form will be validated. If the enrolled transactions did not meet the minimum spend amount, the transaction will be considered invalid.

  3. For all valid redemptions, BDO will notify the Cardholder through an SMS message, which will be sent to the Cardholder’s registered mobile number within 7-10 banking days from enrollment. The SMS message will contain a Promo Code (except Samsonite redemptions in Davao) and the Cardholder’s preferred Redemption Outlet.

  4. Should the redemption be invalid due to incomplete or incorrect information, an SMS notification will be sent to the Cardholder as well.

  5. The Cardholder must claim the Free Item at the Redemption Outlet that he/she indicated in the Enrollment Form. Authorized representatives are NOT allowed to redeem the Free item.

  6. The Cardholder’s redemption is forfeited if the item is left unclaimed after the enrollment period.

  7. To claim the Free Item, the Cardholder must present the following:

    1. SMS notification from BDO

    2. A valid photo ID

    3. Qualified BDO Visa Platinum Credit Card

It is recommended to check the item’s availability before visiting the Redemption Outlet. For inquiries, Cardholders may call Rustans Marketing Corporation at (02) 890-9703 local 257 or 278 during office hours: Mondays to Fridays, 10 am to 5 pm.

  1. For all valid redemptions (except Samsonite redemptions in Davao), the Cardholder’s BDO Visa Platinum Credit Card will be swiped and the Promo Code will be keyed-in for validation using the Promo Redemption Terminal.

  2. In the event that the Samsonite Orfeo Spinner Luggage becomes out of stock, the Samsonite Octo Eco Spinner Luggage will be offered as a replacement.
