Promo Mechanics

  1. The Exclusive Rewards for Overseas Spend (“Promo”) will run from October 15, 2019 to January 15, 2020 (“Promo Period”).

  2. The Promo is open to Cardholders of Qualified Cards:

    1. whose accounts are active and current (i.e. no past due in both Peso and Dollar Accounts)

    2. who received the Promo details via SMS* which contains the Promo ID to be used for Redemption of Reward

    3. who will use their Qualified Card for overseas and online transactions and reach the Spend Requirement within the Promo Period

  1. To qualify for the Reward, Cardholder must use his/her Qualified Card within the Promo Period and have the following transactions:

    • Overseas retail purchases

    • Online purchases

    • Minimum amount per transaction must be USD200 or P10,000

    • The cumulative qualified spend within the Promo Period must be at least USD10,000 or P500,000 (where applicable, conversion rate will be fixed at USD1:P50)

  2. Exclusions:

    • International Cash Advances made via ATM or over-the-counter

    • Any type of Bills Payment (Auto-Charge, Charge-on-Demand, Utility/Recurring Bills, Loan Payments, etc.)

    • Purchases from gasoline / service stations.

    • Transactions from Casino or from merchants engaged in gambling or other illegal activities

    • Transactions from stock trading, forex trading, financial trading services, remittance and the like

    • BDO Internal Installment Programs such as Balance Transfer, EasyPay Cash and Cash-It-Easy

  3. Purchases must come from one (1) Qualified Card only. A Principal Card is treated separately from the Supplementary Card. In computing for the total qualified Spend Requirement, transactions of the Principal Card cannot be combined with the transactions of the Supplementary Card.

 

 

How to Redeem

  1. Registration Period is from December 3, 2019 to March 15, 2020.

  2. Upon reaching the Spend Requirement, Cardholder must register and provide the Promo ID that was sent via SMS*.

  3. Submission of incomplete/wrong Promo ID will not be processed.

  4. An SMS* will be sent to Cardholder’s registered mobile number with the Bank regarding the status of redemption based on below schedule.

  1. Claiming of Rimowa Shopping Privilege:

    1. Cardholder must visit any participating Rimowa Redemption Outlet to claim Shopping Privilege and present the following:

      • SMS with Promo Code

      • Qualified Card

      • Valid photo ID (e.g. Driver’s License; Passport; SSS/BIR/PRC/Senior Citizen’s ID or Company ID)

    2. Representatives are not allowed to redeem. Qualified Card will be swiped and Promo Code will be keyed-in for validation using the Promo Redemption Terminal. No additional charges will be incurred for redemption of items that cost P30,000 and below.

    3. Shopping Privilege will be used as payment for the preferred product/merchandise available at the Rimowa Redemption Outlet at the time of visit. Promo Code is for one-time use only.

    4. Should the chosen item cost more than the Shopping Privilege provided by BDO, Cardholder must use his / her Qualified Card to pay for the difference. Cash payment or payment using other credit card shall not be allowed.

    5. Claiming of Shopping Privilege is within 60 days from receipt of Promo Code via SMS. Shopping Privilege will automatically be forfeited if unclaimed after this period.

  2. Bonus Points Posting:

    1. Bonus Points will appear on the cardholder’s succeeding Statement of Account.

    2. Cardholder must examine their Statement of Account for any error/s related to the Promo (e.g. total points credited, non-awarding of preferred Reward).

    3. Bonus Points for eligible Supplementary Cardholder will be credited to the Principal Cardholder's account.

  3. Cardholder can redeem only once regardless if he/she has more than one Qualified Card, whether as Principal or as Supplementary Cardholder.

  4. All questions and issues arising from the Promo (e.g. non-receipt of feedback if the redemption is successful or declined) will be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days from the end of Redemption Period, after which the Promo is considered conclusive.

 


 

General Terms and Conditions

  1. The Reward is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-convertible to cash and not for resale.

  2. Double Redemption, Cancellation of qualified purchase and Fraudulent transaction/s.
    The Reward cannot be redeemed in conjunction with other promotional offers of BDO.  A Cardholder’s purchase that has been used to redeem the Reward may no longer be used to avail of another BDO Promo such as but not limited to (1) Shop. Choose. Redeem. (2) Rebate Promos and the like. If found to have double/multiple redemptions, BDO reserves the right to chargeback the full cost of the Reward to the corresponding account, at BDO’s discretion.
    Similarly, if the transaction is cancelled/reversed or found to be invalid or fraudulent at a later date, BDO will chargeback the full cost of the Treat to his/her Card or directly collect cost from the Cardholder.

  3. By participating in the Promo, Cardholder agrees to maintain his/her BDO credit card account updated (without incurring past due/delinquency) within the Promo Period and at the time of redemption. Cardholder further acknowledges that should he/she fail to comply with any of the Terms and Conditions and Mechanics of the Promo, he/she will not be eligible to avail of the Reward.

  4. In case of dispute but not limited to the Cardholder's eligibility, coverage of dates and fulfillment, BDO's decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder's eligibility for the Promo or for any redemption shall be resolved by BDO with the concurrence of DTI.

  5. In case of any question about any of the provisions of this Promo, the interpretation of BDO shall prevail, with the concurrence of DTI.

  6. Terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of BDO Credit Cards, reminders and other provisions contained in the card carrier, statement of account, charge slips, and other documents or instruments, which are made an integral part hereof by reference, shall likewise be resorted to in instances where they are applicable to this Promo.
