Promo Mechanics

  1. The 2021 Diners Club 5% Rebate at SM Retail Stores Promo (the “Promo”) is open to all new and existing active Principal and Supplementary Credit Cardholders of BDO Unibank, Inc. (“BDO”) Diners Club Credit Card. Diners Club Corporate Cards are excluded from the Promo.

  2. Promo period is from August 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021.

  3. To participate in the promo:

    1. ​The Cardholder must enroll in the promo using the Promo ID sent by BDO through Viber message, SMS, or email, until September 30, 2021. The Principal and Supplementary Cardholder must enroll in the promo separately and ensure that accurate information is provided.

    2. The Cardholder must use his/her qualified BDO Diners Club Credit Card for a minimum single-receipt or cumulative spend of P5,000 at The SM Store and other SM Retail stores, as shown in the table below. No minimum amount per transaction is required for cumulative purchases.

  1. The following transactions are excluded from the promo:

    1. Transactions made during the SM 3-Day Sale

    2. Supermarket transactions

    3. Transactions that have been used to redeem other promotional offers of Diners Club and/or BDO.

  2. Purchases must come from one (1) qualified card only. A Principal Card is treated separately from the Supplementary Card. In computing for the total qualified spend amount, transactions of the Principal Card cannot be combined with the transactions of the Supplementary Card. It is the responsibility of the Cardholder to monitor his/her qualified spend.

  3. For installment purchases, the principal/base amount will be included in the computation of the total spend requirement. The minimum installment amount per transaction may vary among the SM retail stores.

 

 

 

Earning and Crediting of Rebate

  1. All qualified purchases made at The SM Store and other SM Retail Stores shall earn 5% rebate. The maximum rebate that can be earned per qualified BDO Diners Club credit card is P5,000. 

  2. The rebate will be credited to the Principal Cardholder's BDO Diners Club credit card account on or before November 8, 2021.

  3. Qualified Cardholders will be notified via Viber or SMS upon successful posting of the rebate to their BDO Diners Club account. Cardholders must ensure that their mobile numbers (SMS or Viber) provided are accurate. BDO will not be responsible for non-receipt of notification due to incorrect contact details.

  4. BDO Diners Club Credit Cards must be active and of good credit standing at the time of crediting of the rebate, otherwise, the rebate earned shall be forfeited. BDO shall solely determine if a Cardholder is in good credit standing.

 

 

General Terms and Conditions

  1. Cardholders must examine their SOAs for any errors related to the Promo (e.g. rebate computation, non-awarding of rebate). All questions and issues arising from the Promo will only be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days from the date of crediting of the rebate. 

  2. The rebate earned in this Promo are non-transferable and not convertible to cash.

  3. The Promo cannot be used in conjunction with other ongoing promotional offers of BDO. Transactions that are qualified under this Promo can no longer be used to redeem treats or rebate or miles from other BDO promotion, and vice versa.

  4. BDO reserves the right to reverse or adjust the rebate previously posted to the Cardholder if the qualifying purchase or transaction is disputed or cancelled on a later date or if the transaction is found to be invalid or fraudulent or if there is erroneous posting of the rebate.

  5. The Promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of BDO Credit Cards.

  6. BDO retains exclusive rights and ownership over the Promos, Promo Mechanics, names, marks and logos associated with BDO/BDO Diners Club Credit Card.

  7. This Promo does not constitute a partnership or joint project between the BDO and the Participating SM Retail Stores and neither Party is authorized to act for and in behalf of the other Party except as specifically provided in this Promotion.

  8. In case of disputes related to this Promotion, BDO's decision shall prevail provided that all questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder's eligibility for the Program shall be resolved by BDO with the concurrence of DTI.
