Up to 8% rebate on overseas purchases with BDO UnionPay
Promo Period: April 1 to June 30, 2018
Registration Period: March 28 to July 1, 2018

 

Offer:
Shop overseas and get 5% Cash Rebate when you spend at least P20,000 or 8% Cash Rebate when you spend at least P150,000 using your BDO UnionPay Credit Card within the promo period.

 

Promo Mechanics:

  1. The Promotion is open to all active Principal or Supplementary BDO Gold UnionPay and Diamond UnionPay Credit Cardholders who will use their Card for overseas retail transactions from April 1 to June 30, 2018.

  2. To earn the Cash Rebate, the Cardholder must:

    1. Register online through the promo web page at bit.ly/2018BDOupoverseas from March 28 to July 1, 2018.
      The following information must be provided:

  • Complete Cardholder’s Name

  • Credit Card Number

  • Email Address

  • Mobile Number (must be registered with the Bank

Complete and accurate information must be provided. Otherwise, incomplete, insufficient or wrong information will invalidate the registration and will not be processed.

  1. Use their BDO Gold UnionPay or Diamond UnionPay Credit Card for OVERSEAS RETAIL transactions during the Promo Period and reach the required spend below:

P20,000 to below P150,000 5% Rebate
P150,000 and up 8% Rebate

For cumulative spend, each transaction/charge slip must be at least P5,000 or USD100.

  1. The maximum Cash Rebate that can be earned per Card is P15,000 or USD300 for the entire duration of the Promo.

  2. Purchases must come from one BDO UnionPay Credit Card only. Principal Cardholders cannot combine purchases of his/her Supplementary Cardholder/s (if any) in computing for the total Spend Amount.

  3. Qualified spend will be based on the actual Peso or Dollar value posted on the account/billing statement. For Dual Currency accounts, Peso transactions will receive rebates in PHP and Dollar transactions will receive rebates in USD.

  4. All posted Peso and Dollar overseas point-of-sale transactions are qualified EXCEPT for the following:

Exclusions

  • Cash Advances made via ATM or over-the-counter;

  • Any type of Bills Payment (Auto-charge, Charge-On-Demand, Utility Bills, Loan Payments, etc.);

  • BDO-initiated fees and charges

  • Purchases from gasoline/ service stations;

  • Internet / Online transactions.

  • Mail Order / Telephone Order (MOTO Transactions)

  • Transactions from casino or from merchants engaged in gambling

  • Business-related transactions including but not limited to merchants engaged in wholesale and distribution (e.g. Suysing);

  • Merchants classified as direct selling or multi-marketing (e.g. Mary Kay, Nu Skin, Usana and the like)

  • BDO Internal Installment Programs such as Balance Transfer, Easy Pay Cash, and Cash-It-Easy

  • Transactions from stock trading, forex trading, financial trading services, remittance, and the like

  • Payment services (e.g. Money Transfer, Moneysend and the like)

  • Transactions used in Treats

  • Transactions used in other ongoing BDO Promos

  1. The following transactions will be accepted subject to the established minimum amount per transaction and maximum amount of:

    1. Supermarkets: up to P100,000 within the promo duration

    2. Drugstores: up to P100,000 within the promo duration

      Any amount in excess will not earn rebates.
       

  2. The Cash Rebate will be credited to the Cardholder's account by July 30, 2018 with the transaction description: 2018 UNIONPAY OVERSEAS REBATE PROMO.

  3. Cardholders will be notified via SMS upon successful posting of the Cash Rebate to their BDO Gold UnionPay or Diamond UnionPay account on or before August 2, 2018.

  4. Cardholders must ensure that the contact details provided are accurate. BDO will not be responsible for non-receipt of notification due to incorrect contact details.

  5. The Cardholder should have no past due obligation from the start of the Promo until the scheduled crediting of the rebate.

  6. Cardholders must examine their Statement of Account (SOA) for any errors related to the 2018 UnionPay Overseas Rebate Promo (e.g. rebate computation, non-awarding of rebate). All questions and issues arising from the promo will only be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days from crediting of the rebate, after which the promotion is considered conclusive.

  7. Cash Rebates awarded are nontransferable and nonconvertible to cash. However, it is treated as a credit or payment for purchases of any outstanding balance on the Card.

  8. Rebates earned will be forfeited if the BDO UnionPay Credit Card has been cancelled or converted to another BDO Credit Card or has been found to be delinquent.

  9. BDO reserves the right to reverse the Cash Rebate awarded to the Cardholder in the event that the qualifying transactions were cancelled at a later date or if the transaction is found to be invalid or fraudulent or a reversal of entry is made on any of the qualified transactions.

  10. The 2018 BDO UnionPay Overseas Rebate Promo cannot be used in conjunction with other ongoing promos and is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of the BDO Credit Cards.

  11. In case of dispute in respect of but not limited to the Cardholder's eligibility, coverage of dates, fulfillment, etc. BDO decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder's eligibility for the promotion shall be resolved by BDO with concurrence of DTI.
