NOTICE TO THE PARTICIPANTS OF BDO MONEY MARKET FUNDS

Change in Benchmark of BDO Money Market Funds
Dear Valued Investor,
We wish to inform you that the BDO Trust Committee, on its meeting held on November 7, 2022, has approved the change in benchmark of the following BDO Money Market Funds (the “Funds”) and this shall take effect on April 1, 2023:
BDO Money Market Funds |
Change in Benchmark |
from |
to |
BSP Published Peso Deposit Rates |
1year rolling Peso Time Deposit average |
91-day T-Bill |
Bloomberg BPHIL Money Market index |
US Dollar Time Deposit Rate from Bloomberg
1 year rolling USD Time Deposit average |
The above changes are being initiated as the new benchmarks are readily available and accessible, and more accurately represent the portfolio of the respective UITFs as well as the movements in interest rates affecting the Funds’ investments. The BSP has also discontinued the publication of the peso deposit rates. Please note that the benchmark is a measure that is used to compare the performance of the UITF. As such, this change in benchmark poses no effect on the investment strategy of the Fund/s nor on the market value of your investments in the Fund/s. The Fund/s will continue to be managed in the same way as it is presently being managed, in line with the Fund’s investment objective and policies.
We advise you to evaluate this change carefully. If the Fund/s remain/s suitable to your investment profile, there is no need for you to do anything. Your decision to remain invested in the Fund/s will be deemed as your conformity with the amendment. If this is not the case or you are not in conformity with the above amendment, you may get in touch with your UITF Servicing Branch on or before March 31, 2023 to discuss other BDO UITFs/investment products that may better match your requirements. Early redemption fees, if any, shall be waived if redemption orders are made prior to the effectivity date.
