A card issued by BDO or any other local or international bank bearing any of these logos may be swiped in the Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals provided by BDO. A POS terminal is an electronic device used by merchants to obtain authorization for card transactions. The POS terminals may be connected to BDO in different ways. It could be through dial up (using telephone line); wireless and/or mobile terminals (using GPRS technology, no telephone lines needed), or through a Local Area Network (LAN for merchant with multiple terminals). 
 
 
Our POS terminals are EMV (Europay, MasterCard, VISA) compliant, which means credit and debit card transactions can be authenticated. We have dedicated merchant sales teams and on-call engineers to visit your stores and head office regularly to take care of your concerns and ensure that your POS terminals are always in good working condition.

This facility is available to all BDO cardholders, the largest card base in the country.

  • Delivery / Events – Uses remote/wireless terminals ideal for delivery services, events and exhibits 
Refers to BDO's facility of card acceptance using the Point-of-Sale Wireless Technology which will be installed at your site to be used for deliveries, events or roadshows without the need of telephone access.
  • eCommerce - Internet/ On-line transactions 
The BDO Internet Payment Gateway Facility provides a standard internet connection for your company to securely and reliably send and receive payment authorizations allowing your customers to purchase goods and services from your internet site. 
  • Mail Order / Telephone Order (MOTO) - Cardholder Not Present transactions 
This facility allows your company a means of accepting transactions that are called-in, mailed or faxed by your customers. As such, your company will be able to accommodate transactions without the presence of the cardholders at your establishment. 
  • Recurring Payment System (RPS) - Merchants with continuous billing transactions like insurance premiums, subscription payments and club membership dues 
The Recurring Payment System (RPS) Facility is used frequently by companies for "auto-debit-arrangements" with clients. This payment facility allows the company to process transactions which are recurring in nature such as periodic fees/charges.

Requirements 
Only application forms with complete documents will be processed. Please submit the following: 
  1. Duly signed and filled up Merchant Information Sheet ; and
  2. Duly signed Merchant Agreement (2 copies); and
A.   For Single Proprietorship
  1. Photocopy of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Business Registration Certificate
  2. Original and notarized, with dry seal on all pages, Special Power of Attorney (if signed by person other than the registered owner) with specimen signature 
  3. Photocopy of BIR Certificate of Registration
  4. Local government permits and licenses (e.g., Mayor's Permit, etc.)
  5. Photocopy of one (1) valid ID* of the owner and spouse (if the latter is authorized to transact in behalf of the former)
B.   For Partnership
  1. Photocopy of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Certificate of Registration
  2. Photocopy of Articles of Partnership or latest available General Information Sheet
  3. Photocopy of BIR Certificate of Registration
  4. Original and notarized, with dry seal on all pages, Partnership Resolution with specimen signature/s
  5. Local government permits and licenses (e.g. Mayor's Permit, etc.) 
  6. Photocopy of one (1) valid ID* of all signatories authorized by the partnership to enter into an agreement with BDO as specified in the Partnership Resolution 
C.   Corporation
  1. Photocopy of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Certificate of Registration
  2. Photocopy of Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws or latest available General Information Sheet
  3. Photocopy of BIR Certificate of Registration
  4. Original and notarized, with dry seal on all pages, Board Resolution or Secretary's Certificate with specimen signature/s 
  5. Local government permits and licenses (e.g. Mayor's Permit, etc.)
  6. Photocopy of one (1) valid ID* of all signatories authorized by the corporation to enter into an agreement with BDO as specified in the Board Resolution/Secretary's Certificate

        3.  Additional Documents / Case-to-Case Additional Documents:

3.1   Travel Agency: Photocopy of Certificate of Membership with any travel association 
3.2   Photocopy of Francise Agreement or Certificate of Dealership showing trade or DBA name of merchant except only if trade or DBA name appears already in any of the above   mentioned documents 
3.3   For MOTO or Electronic Commerce (E-commerce): 
- Duly signed E-commerce Merchant Agreement (for E-commerce) or MOTO Agreement (for MOTO)
- Photocopy of latest Audited Financial Statement / 6 months Bank Statements
- Hold-out Deposit / Deed of Assignment
3.4   For RPS
- Duly signed RPS Merchant Agreement
3.5   For eligible to tax exemption : 
- Photocopy of BIR Tax Exemption Certificate for NGO; or Original or Certified True Copy of Tax Exemption Certificate issued by authorized government agency
