Things to Know Before Buying

  1. Insurance must be purchased for at least a day before your departure flight.
  2. Initial departure must be from the Philippines via commercial flight.
  3. Trips to the following countries are not covered:
    a. Island groups or areas that are not frequented for tourism purposes; overseas territories of districts of certain countries; general areas covering several countries and old names od certain countries of territories:
    Ascension Island, American Samoa, Antartica, Ashmore and Cartier Islands, Bassas de India, British Indian Ocean Territory, Carribbean Islands, Clipperton Island, Cocos Island, Coral Sea Islands, Dhekelia, Dronning Maud Land, Europa Island, Faroe Islands, French Metropolitan, French Guiana, French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, Gaza Strip, Glorioso Islands, Greenwich, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Jan Meyen (Svalbard and Jan Meyen Is.) Jersey Johnson Island, Juan de Nova Island, Kosovo, Martinique, Mayotte, Navassa Island, Netherland Antilles, New Caledonia, Northern Mariana Islands, Paracel Islands, Pitcairn Islands, Reunion, St. Helena, St. Pierre & Miquelon, Samoa, Gilbert and Ellice Islands, South Georgia, South Sandwich Islands, Spratly Islands, Svalbard (and Jan Mayen Islands), Tromelin Island, Wake Island, Wallis $ Futuna Islands, Western Sahara, Zaire, United States Minor Outlying Island
    b. Restricted countries with official travel ban/restrictions: Afghanistan, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Cuba, Haiti, Iraq, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Nepal, Niger, North Korea, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, Zimbabwe, Syria, South Sudan
  4. You may not be covered if you have pre-existing condition. To know more about this, kindly read the insurance policy.
  5. Engaging in hazardous activity or occupation; professional sports, contact sports, winter sports, racing, and motorcycling are not covered.
  6. Check with the foreign embassy if the country you are traveling to requires extra days on your travel insurance coverage.

If I get sick or got into an accident while abroad, what do I do?

Please contact the Emergency Medical and Travel Assistance Hotline (+63 2 8230-8511) and we will help find a hospital near you.

In the event that you were admitted to a hospital that does not accept international insurance policies, we will reimburse you of your medical expenses according to the terms and conditions of your insurance policy. Kindly keep documents, bills, and receipts related to your hospitalization as they may be needed when you file claim.
