Promo Mechanics:

  1. The 8% Birth Month Cash Rebate (“Rebate”) will run from March 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 (“Promo Period”).

  2. The Promo is open to Qualified Cardholders:

    • whose accounts are active and current (i.e. no past due)

    • who will receive the Promo announcement via SMS and Electronic Direct Mailer*

    • whose birthdays fall within the Promo Period

    • who will reach the required spend within their birth month

  3. To qualify for the Rebate, Cardholder must use his/her Qualified Card within his/her birth month and have transactions as follows:

    • Retail purchases (local/international/online)

    • Installment purchases

    • Minimum amount per transaction must be P3,000

    • The cumulative qualified spend within the Cardholder’s birth month must be at least P10,000

  4. Exclusions:

    • Local and International Cash Advances made via ATM or over-the-counter

    • Purchases from gasoline / service stations

    • Any type of Bills Payment: Auto-charge, Charge-on-Demand, Utility/Recurring Bills, Loan Payments, etc.

    • Transactions from Casino or from merchants engaged in Gambling

    • Transactions from stock trading, forex trading, financial trading services, remittance and the like

    • BDO Internal Installment Programs such as Balance Transfer, EasyPay Cash and Cash-It-Easy

  5. Purchases must come from one (1) Qualified Card only. A Principal Card is treated separately from the Supplementary Card. In computing for the total qualified Spend Amount, transactions of the Principal Card cannot be combined with the transactions of the Supplementary Card.

  6. The maximum Rebate entitlement per Cardholder is P2,100.

  7. Cardholder will be notified via SMS upon successful posting of the Rebate after 30 calendar days from end of birth month and will appear on the succeeding Statement of Account (SOA).


General Terms and Conditions:

  1. Cardholder must examine their SOA for any error/s related to the Promo (e.g. rebate computation, non-awarding of rebate). All questions and issues arising from the promo will be accepted within sixty (60) calendar days from posting of the Rebate, after which the promotion is considered conclusive.

  2. Rebate is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-convertible to cash. It is treated as a credit or payment on any outstanding balance on the Cardholder's account.

  3. Double Redemption, Cancellation of qualified purchase and Fraudulent transaction/s.
    The Rebate cannot be redeemed in conjunction with other promotional offers of BDO.  A Cardholder’s purchase that has been used to redeem the Rebate may no longer be used to avail of another BDO Promo such as but not limited to (1) Shop. Choose. Redeem. (2) Rebate Promos at The SM Store and the like or vice versa. If found to have double/multiple redemptions, BDO reserves the right to chargeback the full cost of the Treat or Rebate to the corresponding account, at BDO’s discretion.
    Similarly, if the transaction is cancelled/reversed or found to be invalid or fraudulent at a later date, BDO will chargeback the Rebate credited to his/her Card or directly collect cost from the Cardholder.

  4. By participating in the Promo, Cardholder agrees to maintain his/her BDO credit card account updated (without incurring past due/delinquency) within the Promo Period and at the time of Rebate crediting. Cardholder further acknowledges that should he/she fail to comply with any of the Terms and Conditions and Mechanics of the Promo, he/she will not be eligible to avail of the Rebate.

  5. In case of dispute but not limited to the Cardholder's eligibility, coverage of dates and fulfillment, BDO's decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder's eligibility for the Promotion or for any redemption shall be resolved by BDO.

  6. In case of any question about any of the provisions of this Promotion, the interpretation of BDO shall prevail.

  7. Terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of BDO Credit Cards, reminders and other provisions contained in the card carrier, statement of account, charge slips, and other documents or instruments, which are made an integral part hereof by reference, shall likewise be resorted to in instances where they are applicable to this Promo.
