
1) What are the requirements to join the program?
Peso CASA Account with at least P50,000 MTD ADB or Dollar SA Account with at least USD1,000 MTD ADB OR a principal cardholder of a BDO credit card.
2) How will members be informed of the new program?
All existing members will receive their Welcome Kit which includes the personalized Welcome Letter, Member's Guide, new BDO Rewards Card, a pre-printed Member Data Form, and special bank vouchers depending on their membership level.
3) Do existing members of the previous BDO Rewards Program have to enroll again?
No, members of the previous BDO Rewards Program need not enroll to the new BDO Rewards Program.
4) What do members have to do when they receive their Welcome Kit?
First, they have to activate their new card by calling the BDO Rewards Call Center at (02)702-7888 or 1-800-10-702-7888 (Domestic Toll Free)
Second, they need to complete and submit their Member Data Form (MDF) at any of the member's branch of account.
1) How will members receive their new BDO Rewards Card?
The new BDO Rewards Cards in the Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire level will be placed inside the Welcome Kit and would be delivered via courier.
However, the BDO Rewards Card for Diamond members will be delivered personally by the Branch Head.
2) Will the new BDO Rewards Card expire?
The Ruby, Sapphire and Diamond cards expire after one (1) year and the expiry date is printed on the card. This provides for efficient management of program tier upgrading and downgrading and avoids abuse or misuse of perks and privileges.
The Emerald card does not have an expiry date and members may continue to use the card until he is upgraded to the next membership level.
3) What will happen to the old BDO Rewards Card that existing members have?
The old BDO Rewards Cards should no longer be used as soon as members activate their new BDO Rewards Cards. All points accumulated in the old card will be transferred to the new card upon activation.
To maintain high security of the member's account information, members must discontinue using it or destroy their old card.
4) Can both clients of a Joint Account get a card each?
No, only the Primary Account holder will be issued a BDO Rewards Card
5) What if the other client (the one that was not given a card in the joint account) has another BDO account, can he join the program?
Yes, provided that the client meets the membership requirements.
6) Will clients owning multiple bank products/ accounts be issued several BDO Rewards cards also?
No, clients are only assigned one Client Information File (CIF) for all his availed bank products and services. Because of this, only one BDO Rewards membership number is assigned per client.
However, clients can earn points from ALL their qualified bank transactions provided that they meet the requirements of each.
1) How will a member be assigned to a specific level when he qualifies to the program?
At the start of membership, all members will be assigned to a tier determined by their total relationship with BDO.
2) How will their membership level be determined the following year?
The membership level will be determined by the total points earned in the first year.
For example: Member joins the program in January 2008 and starts at Emerald. By the end of the year, member earns 2,500 points. The member will be upgraded to Ruby the next year and would be sent his new card.
3) Can a member be upgraded to the next membersip level within a year?
Yes, a member can be automatically upgraded within the year of membership, as soon as he reaches the required points for the next level.
For example: Member joins the program in January 2008 and starts at Ruby. By June, member earns 4,000 points. The member will be upgraded to Sapphire and would get his new card on the following month.
4) Is it possible for a member to go down the membership level?
Yes, it is possible for a member to go down from his current membership level, if the points earned, within the year of membership does not meet the required number of points to stay within that tier.
For example: Member's current level is Sapphire in 2009 with 4,200 points earned the current year. By the end of 2009, the member's total points are only 3,000. The member will then be downgraded to Ruby for the year 2010.
5) What if I qualify to the program towards the end of the year? Will I still have one year to accumulate points to qualify to the next level?
Yes, all members will have one year to accumulate points to qualify to the next level. For example, member qualifies on October 2008. He will receive his BDO Rewards Card the following month and would have November 2008 to October 2009 to accumulate points. The card's expiry date would be November 2009.
This means, BDO Rewards provides an allowance of one (1) month for card production and delivery. Furthermore, the member will not miss out on points that he can earn while waiting for the new card.
6) What if I get upgraded within the 12-month period? Will the same rule apply?
Yes, the same rule will apply. For example, the member is currently in the Ruby tier and the card was issued on September 2008. The card's expiry date is September 2009. However, in June 2009, the member has earned 4,000 points. By July 2009, the Sapphire card would be issued to the member. Therefore, the new card's expiry date would then be July 2010. The 12-month period would be July 2009 to June 2010.
7) Would transferred points from my SM Advantage Card to my BDO Rewards Card be considered in determining my membership level the following year?
No, transferred points from your SM Advantage Card will not be considered. Membership level determination is limited to points earned with the BDO Rewards Card only.
8) Will redeeming points affect the earning of points required to maintain or be upgraded to the next level?
No, redeeming of points will not affect the earning of points to reach the next level. Neither will it result to any downgrading of tier level.

1 point is equal to P1.00.
2) Where can members redeem points?
Members may redeem their points to pay for purchases at any SM Department Store, SM Supermarket, SM Hypermarts, and SM retail establishments.
3) Is there a minimum amount required to redeem at SM?
Yes, members must redeem at least P50.00 per transaction.
4) What if a member lives in an area without an SM mall?
Individuals who are residing in areas where there are no SM Malls are allowed to redeem their points in their branch of account in the form of a BDO Gift Check (GC). The Bank would predetermine branches that can facilitate this process. Minimum redemption is P100.00 and in multiples of P100.00.
5) Is there a redemption fee?
No, there is no redemption fee required.
1) How can members replace lost or damaged cards?
To replace a lost or damaged card, member must call the BDO Rewards Call Center at (02)702-7888 or 1-800-10-702-7888 (Domestic Toll Free) or text BDO LOST<space> PIN number and send to 2966.
Sample text: BDO LOST 1234.
2) Is there a card replacement fee?
Yes. The fee for card replacement is P150.00 or 150 points. However, this is only applicable to Emerald and Ruby Members. Replacement Fee for Sapphire and Diamond is waived.
3) How do you pay for the replacement fee?
Member has the option of paying the fee in cash through a BDO branch or through available points balance via calling the BDO Reward Call Center.
