A card issued by BDO or any other local or international bank bearing any of these logos may be swiped in the Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal provided by BDO. A POS terminal is an electronic device used by merchants to obtain authorization for card transactions. The POS terminals may be connected to BDO in different ways. It could be through dial up (using telephone line); wireless and/or mobile terminals (using GPRS technology, no telephone lines needed), or through a Local Area Network (LAN for merchant with multiple terminals).

Our POS terminals are EMV (Europay, MasterCard, VISA) compliant, which means credit and debit card transactions can be authenticated.
